Your Bucket List - $5,000 Money Saving Mama Challenge

your bucket list
Hello to all of my lovely Money Saving Mamas out there. Today I want to talk to you guys about something important. I know that we all get so wrapped up in the technicalities of life. You know: paying bills, buying necessities - that stuff. Being able to do these things without worrying is one of the reasons that most of us save money. However, it is not the only reason. If you are like me, you probably have a family bucket list. Now, this may not be what YOU call it, but I can almost guarantee that you have one. A bucket list is defined as a list of things that you would like to see, do, or accomplish before you "kick the bucket" (hence the name). It is a list of those things that would make you look back on your life and say "I lived a great life". I want to share with you guys some fun, cool, and exciting things to add to your personal bucket list. So get ready to seize the day! Or, as you would say in Latin, "Carpe Diem!"

Hopefully this list has given you some ideas on what a bucket list can be. As you can see, it is filled with things from the ordinary (having a picnic) to the extraordinary (visiting the Seven Wonders of the World). The items range from free (stargazing) to expensive (visiting every continent) and everything in between. Don't be afraid to write down what you really want to do, be it large or small. Then the next step would be to prioritize things. What can you feasibly do now? In the near future? What will require planning and saving? Is there anything on the list that is simply not feasible? If so, is there a simplified version that you could replace it with? This way, the person who suggested it does not feel as though their idea is simply being tossed out.

Once you have refined your bucket list, pick something to get your family started on this exciting lifelong adventure. Perhaps even something that you can do that same day. Why wait? "Carpe Diem" remember? By immediately scratching one thing off your list, you will be able to celebrate your accomplishment and it will motivate you to do the next thing.

Another thing to remember when it comes to your bucket list is that it is not set in stone. You should always keep an eye out for new things to add to your list. And remember, it is not the destination that is important, it's the journey. In other words, your goal should not be to complete your bucket list. Your goal should be doing as many of the tasks on your bucket list as you can. Even if you don't finish it, you and your family will surely have the best time in the world trying to finish it. So go on, get your family together, sit down and plan out the rest of your life.
