The Rose GamePlay This Game at Your Next In Home DemonstrationThe Rose Game is another dating game very similar toThe Straw Game. The
idea is to find out which guest at your show is willing to host a
demonstration. Though this game is geared towards consultants in Candle Companies (such as PartyLite, Mia Bella, etc), with a little imagination you can adapt it to other types of Direct Sales Plans. Dating games, and other consultant games are very important for direct sales and home party plan consultants. The more fun your guests have at their party, the more likely they will want to book a party of their own! Make your home party demonstrations extra fun. ![]() What you need:--Flower Pot (I used a cardboard one from a craft store, it can be painted) --Florist's Styrofoam brick --(12) Balloon sticks with tops --1-2 Rolls Green Floral Tape --Selection of (12) sample votives from your company --Toile --(24) Silk leaves What you do:![]() First: To get ready, you will need to cut (12) 6-8 inch lengths of toile, and pull the leaves off the silk stems. Wrap a length of toile around a votive, tying it off in a knot under the candle. ![]() Next: Place a leaf in the top of the balloon stick, and then put the tied off toile into the prongs on the balloon stick top, and tie it again. ![]() Then: Put the balloon stick top on the balloon stick, and begin to wind the green floral tape around the balloon stick, over the toile ends, securing the leaves to the stick. ![]() Then: Keep winding the green floral tape, adding in more leaves as you see fit. You are finished with your flower when the green floral tape reaches the end of the balloon stick. Finally:Make (11) more. (Can be more or less depending on the size of your flower pot and the size of your parties!) Place the florist's Styrofoam brick into the bottom of your flower pot. Put your Roses into the Styrofoam brick, making sure that you push them all the way to the bottom of the flower pot, and that you space them evenly so the flower pot does not tip over. To play the Rose Game:Safety pin a 4x4 piece of folded up paper to each flower. On the paper, write one of the following: "Try Again!" "Free Shipping!" "10% off Your Order" "You've Won Free Product!" "Host a Party" As your demonstration comes to a close, hold up the flower pot and explain how the game works. You can say something like:
This makes it so easy to figure out which people are interested in dating. If they take a rose, even if they don't "win" a party, it means that they were willing to have one. This idea is particularly good for not just candle company home party consultants, but for other home party plans that do not offer inexpensive samples or goodies as hostess gifts. You can purchase a nice box of votives from a gift shop to use if this is the case. Have fun playing the Rose Game! Visit these other pages for more direct sales and party plan game ideas. Leave
