I'M LIVIN' LA VIDA CHEAPO!

by Lindley Alston
(Colorado)

I could go on forever because I am the Queen of Coupons, but a couple of great tips are:

-Order as many free samples as you can get your hands on (I typically order at least 5-10 per week). Not only do you get tons of FREE travel items (toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)but you get to try new products, every trip to the mail box is exciting AND a lot of them come with coupons you can use for future purchases!

-When you receive a prescription, seek out stores that offer rewards for new or transferred prescriptions. Many stores offer up to 25.00 gift cards (such as CVS, Target, Rite Aid/Eckerd/Brooks, Kmart, etc.)If it is an ongoing prescription, try transferring it to a few different stores conveniently located near you to rack up the gift cards!

-Combine store and manufacturer's coupons on stores that allow it (Walgreens, Target, etc.)

-Take advantage of printable Internet coupons, there are many for FREE items and oftentimes, they can be printed out multiple times!

Happy Shopping!

Great tip, I too do the sample thing. Its like having a birthday present right in the mailbox. I even do surveys and just recently received a free icecream scoop for ppl w/ arthritis (I have lupus). It works great and best of all, it was free. :)

Travel Sized Surprises!

Lindley,

Good tip on saving up the samples for traveling! I hadn't thought of that.

And I too, love the prescription gift cards. Sometimes I'm even excited about being sick!
