Want to add your own TightWad tips? Then visit Prove You’re a Tightwad! And share your tips with us! Ziploc Baggies Reuse your Ziploc baggies! Spend the extra money to buy the brand name quart and gallon sized Ziploc baggies. After use, hand wash them with your dishes and use a clothesline pin to hang them to dry. Better yet, store your food in Tupperware containers for the most savings.
Dryer Sheets Dryer Sheets can be reused. Either use them for another load of laundry, or tuck them throughout your house as a subtle air freshener. You can put them between couch cushions, in drawers, and under blankets for a springy smell. Squelch the Soda Get rid of the soda in your home! Try Liquid Steevia, which is an all natural sweetener that can be found at health food stores. While it might seem expensive, about $13 a bottle, a little goes a long way, as just a couple drops will flavor a glass of water. This stuff is great! Flavors include: lemon drop, chocolate raspberry, grape, English toffee, and Root Beer. Our family loves the Root Beer, which tastes just like soda. I even put one a bottle in my purse for when we go out to eat. Pack a Lunch Pack lunches for work, school, and outings. Whether you are planning a day at the beach, a short road trip, or even a day at a theme park, you will save some significant money and your health by planning in advance.
