Grocery Coupon OrganizersThe Simple Clutch Coupon HolderI am a firm believer that every Coupon Queen, whether she is brand new to the world of couponing and refunding, or is a seasoned pro, needs to have at least one clutch coupon holder around for the best coupon organization.
Clutch grocery coupon organizers are inexpensive, and usually be ordered from a insert in your Sunday paper coupons. I personally think that Hannah Coupons makes one of the best ones on the market. What exactly are clutches? You've seen them. Your mother probably had one. They are small, purse sized coupon holders, made of a nylon type material, with little dividers.
Many of the newer models are designed to snap onto the handle of a grocery shopping cart. The main disadvantage to this type of coupon organization system is its small size. For an occasional couponer, who clips coupons from the paper but rarely (or never) orders large quantities of coupons, this type of system could work on a permanent basis. But a serious Coupon Queen would find the size too limiting for their main method to organize coupons. Also, if you are a forgetful person like me (why is it that the older I get the more I seem to lose things? Like keys, shoes, scissors, and hairbrushes?) you might misplace the small coupon clutch, or leave it behind in a shopping cart. But even with these negatives, I highly recommend purchasing one. Why? Beginner Couponers
I would not suggest investing your time and/or money into a coupon binder or a coupon file until you get a better idea of your needs. Starting off with a simpler system will be the best way to go. Transition to a larger one as you need to. Restaurants and Entertainment
For those of us who have been around the coupon block a few times and have outgrown our clutch grocery coupon organizers, its time to repurpose them. Instead of using your clutch coupon holder as your main holder, use it for restaurant and entertainment coupons. You can store it in your purse or glove compartment box, and it's very portable. Before I repurposed my clutch, I had to lug my large coupon binder into restaurants like Steak N Shake or Boston Market when I wanted to use the coupons. I found that with my forgetful nature, if I just pulled out the page with all the restaurant coupons on it I'd leave the extra ones behind. And I couldn't just bring in the coupons that I'd use, because I never know what I want to eat until I am inside. So I'd bring my purse, and my binder with me. What a drag! Now I simply place all my dining and entertainment coupons in a clutch, and carry it with me at all times.
