Starting a Home Daycare
This great, comprehensive kit contains step by step instructions, forms, and ideas for opening a home daycare you might not have thought about. Things like installing a webcam for parents to have easy visual access to their children while they are working. This program is very good, and affordable.


Daycare Start Up Kit
This kit is more for centers. It goes over all business aspects of running a daycare, and even delves into topics like dealing with problem children. If you are considering opening a daycare outside of your home, or want the comprehensive information that actual centers get, this could be a good source for you.




How to Start a Daycare
This kit focuses on the SAHM daycare, with lots of forms. It's a real "getting started" package. The perfect kit for the stay at home mom who is looking to start a daycare.





Software for Staying Organized


Daycare Manager Pro
This software is intended for centers, but if you are in need of organization, or are a person who likes to put everything together on your computer, this can be good for small in-home daycares as well.

Though their website will win no awards in my book, this is actually a great preschool curriculum package. It comes with computer games, MP3 songs, and print outs.



Click N Kids
This is a reading and phonics program that gives visual, game-type interaction to help kids learn to read. If you are looking for a video phonics program, this program is used in schools across the country.


ABC Fun and 1-2-3
A great, inexpensive, 26-week preschool curriculum designed to organize and give you a step by step guide to preschool lessons. Check out the FREE printables on her site.




Fun Lesson Plans
Great site with free lessons as well as lessons available for purchase.

Enchanted Learning
Wonderful site full of valuable free printables, with more resources available to those who choose to pay an annual fee.

EdHelper
Great site with tons of info for all grade levels. Annual fee required.

Website

If you are going to run a home daycare, you will need your own website as part of your daycare resources.

This is one of the best daycare resources you can have.

This website can be a simple informational advertising website listing your rates and hours, or it can be a comprehensive site for parents with a password protected webcam, a listing of daily events, forms, and even a place to display the children's artistic projects.

You may also want to consider putting up lesson plans that you have created and forming a content based website.

You can make additional money on the side with this website, all while talking about something you love to do.
